Enroll in Classes (HCX)
Purpose: Use as a reference for how to enroll in classes using the Mobile application.
Audience: Students.
The college mobile applications will look a bit different between the various colleges, this guide is intended as a general overview, please note that your college may have different images and options available.
This QRG assumes student is fully admitted and able to enroll for classes.
Enroll in Classes
- On the Mobile (HCX) Springboard page, select the ctcLink Login tile.
- The ctcLink Login page displays.
- Enter your ctcLink ID.
- Enter your Password.
- Select the Sign In button. The Okta Account section of the ctcLink Reference Center provides helpful information on accessing your ctcLink account.
- Select Enrollment from the sidebar navigation.
- It expands to display further menu choices.
- To enroll in a class, you can select from your Planner or Shopping Cart if items were previously chosen and saved here.
- If doing a new search, you can also look for a class by selecting the Class Information menu and selecting:
- Class Search
- Course Catalog
- Browse Classes
- Select the Browse Classes menu item.
- The Browse Classes page displays.
- Enter your search criteria.
- Select the Search button.
- The search results display.
- Select the View Sections button.
- The available sections for this course display.
- Select the class row to expand.
- The class details display.
- Select the Add to Cart button located in the bottom right side of the page.
- The Enrollment options pop-up window displays.
- Select the Save button.
Validate Before Enrolling
- Select Enrollment from the sidebar navigation.
- It expands to display further menu choices.
- Select Shopping Cart from the list of menu items.
- The Shopping Cart page displays.
- Select the checkbox at the end of the row.
- Select the Validate button. Selecting Validate does not enroll you in the class.
- The Validation results pop-up window displays.
- Select the OK button.
- The Shopping Cart page displays again.
- Select the Enroll button or link by selecting the three dots.
- The Enrollment Results pop-up window displays.
- Select the OK button.
- You have successfully enrolled in a class.
- Process complete.

Why do you need to "validate" courses in the shopping cart? What does that step do? What happens if you skip that step, and click on "enroll"?

Hello Monica! You posted a great question. When you select the "Validate" button, the system will identify any potential issues with your class selections. Suppose you had a course in your shopping cart, and it had the exact meeting time as a class you were already enrolled in for the same term. By clicking on "Validate," the system will display a time-conflict message, allowing you to return to class search and select a different section at another time. Validate will not enroll you into classes; when your enrollment appointment arrives, you will need to complete the enrollment process when your enrollment appointment reaches.
