9.2 Viewing a Benefit Plan

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for viewing the details of a benefit plan in ctcLink.

Audience: Benefits Administrator.

NOTE: Access for viewing a benefit plan will be determined by ctcLink security roles.

Viewing a Benefit Plan

Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Set Up HCM > Product Related > Base Benefits > Plans and Providers > Benefit Plan Table

  1. The Benefit Plan Table search page displays.
  2. Enter the appropriate search criteria in the Plan Type section.
  3. Select the Search button.

  1. The Search Results display.
  2. Select the specific plan type to view.

Benefit Plan Table Field Descriptions/Information

  1. Effective Date: Date the plan becomes active. This can be a past, present or a future date.
  2. Description: Full name of the benefit plan.
  3. Short Description: Benefit description that prints on a pay slip.
  4. Set ID: Default value.
  5. Vendor ID: Default value.
  6. SPD URL ID: Not used by SBCTC.
  7. Group Number: Not used by SBCTC.
  8. Default Deduction Code: (Optional) Entering a default deduction code eliminates typing the deduction code each time the code is associated with a benefit program on the Benefit Program Table.
  9. Pay Mode: Select when the vendor will be paid.
  10. AP Payment Date Type: Choose the Check Date or Pay Period End Date.
  11. EDI Plan Coverage Description: (Optional) Enter a value that is included in the HIPPA file.
  12. Self-Service Plan Description: Not used by SBCTC.
  13. Contact Type: Select the contact type from the drop-down menu.  The options are:  COBRA, HIPPA or Plan Administrator.Contact ID: Benefit Administrative Contact.

  1. The process to view a benefit plan is now complete.
  2. End of procedure.
