9.2 Linking Applicants to Jobs

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for linking an applicant to an existing Job Opening in ctcLink.

Audience: HR Recruiter, Hiring Managers, Recruiting Administrator.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZZ Hiring Manager
  • ZZ Interested Party
  • ZZ Recruiter
  • ZZ Recruiting Admin Local

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Navigation:  Recruiting > Search Job Openings

  1. The Search Job Openings page displays.
  2. Enter the Job Opening ID or leave blank to return all values.
  3. The Status defaults to Open, select the appropriate status.
  4. Select the Search button.
  5. The Search Results display.
  6. Select the applicable Job Opening link.
  7. The Manage Job Opening page displays.
  8. Select the check box to Select the applicant(s) you want to link the job to.
  9. NOTE: If you want to link all applicants to a particular job opening you can select the Select All option if available.
  10. Select the Other Actions menu (on the right side of the page).
  11. The Other Actions sub-menu displays.
  12. Select the Applicant Actions option.
  13. Select the Link Applicant to Job option.
  14. The Link Applicant to Job Opening page displays.
  15. The Applicant ID, Name, and Email Address will default in the Applicants to be Linked section. Add additional applicants if applicable.
  16. From the Job Openings section, enter/select the desired Job Opening ID; and add another if applicable.
  17. The Disposition will default to Linked; change if needed.
  18. Select the appropriate Reason from the drop-down menu.
  19. Select the Link button.
  20. A Message displays confirming the applicant is linked.
  21. Select the OK button to return to the Manage Job Opening page.
  22. The process to link an applicant to a job is now complete.
