CS 9.2 SACR Security: Student Groups

Purpose:  Use this document as a reference on how to grant a user authorization to place a student into a Student Group, or to remove a student from a Student Group.

Audience: Local Security Administrators

Navigation:  Set Up SACR > Security > Secure Student Administration > User ID > Student Group Security

  1. The Student Group Security search page displays.
  2. Enter User ID.
  3. Enter Academic Institution.
  4. Select the Search button.

  1. The Student Group Security page displays.
  2. Select the Student Group hourglass to search among available Student Group values.

  1. The Look Up Student Group window displays.
  2. Enter search criteria, then select the Look Up button, or simply scroll through the entire list of Student Groups.

  1. Select the appropriate Student Group.

  1. The Look Up Student Group window disappears.
  2. The Student Group row populates.

  1. To permit the user to view, but not add/delete, this Student Group, check the Inquiry Indicator checkbox.
  2. To permit the user to view, add and delete this Student Group, check the Update Indicator checkbox.  The Inquiry Indicator checkbox is automatically checked as well.

  1. To grant the user permission to an additional Student Group, select the Add a New Row [+] icon.

  1. A new, blank row displays.
  2. Repeat steps 6 through 15 until you've assigned all the Student Groups your user needs.

  1. To remove security to a Student Group from the user, select the Delete a Row [-] icon for the unwanted Student Group.

  1. A confirmation message box displays.
  2. Select the OK button.

  1. The confirmation message box disappears.  The unwanted Student Group row disappears.
  2. Select the Save button.

  1. Process complete.
