Purpose: Use this document as a reference for Viewing Menu Item Detail in ctcLink.

The following steps will assist in finding roles associated with a component/page.

1. Follow the navigation path to where the error is occurring.
2. Press CTRL+J  (Shift+CTRL+J if using Chrome)
3. Copy Component name.

4.  Click New Window link.

Navigation:  Main Menu → People Tools → Portal → View Menu Item Detail

5.  Paste the component name bookended by %. (%Component_Name%)

6.  Click Search.

7.  Click on Portal Object Name from list.

In Menu Item Detail page, you will see Permission Lists, Roles, and user with current access to the component.
