Viewing Position Data Summary

Purpose: Use this document to view position data summary in ctcLink.

Audience: Human Resources Staff

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZC HR Position Management
  • ZD HR Employee Maintenance VW
  • ZD HR Local Config Vw
  • ZD HR Position Management VW
  • ZZ HR Position Management

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Navigation:  Menu > Organizational Development > Position Management > Review Position/Budget Info > Position Summary

  1. On the Position Summary page, enter the desired information into the Position Number field.
  2. If you do not know the position number, enter the appropriate information (e.g. HR220) into the Business Unit field.
  3. Select the Search button.
  4. The Position Summary page displays. On this page you will be able to view general current and historical information about a position.
  5. Use the General tab to view the action and reason for changes to a position. This page also displays the maximum head count for the position and indicates whether or not the position is budgeted.
  6. Select the Work Location tab.
  7. View the reporting hierarchy, physical location, department, and job code of a position from this tab.
  8. Select the Payroll Information tab.
  9. View whether a position is regular, temporary, part-time, or full-time. This page also displays the work period and standard working hours for the position.
