9.2 Viewing and Updating Class Enrollment Capacity and Status

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for viewing and updating classes in ctcLink.

Audience: Course Scheduling staff.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZC CM Class Maintenance
  • ZD CM Class Maintenance
  • ZZ CM Local Configuration

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Viewing and updating classes

Navigation:  Menu > Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Update Sections of a Class

  1. The Update Sections of a Class search page displays.
  2. Enter Academic Institution.
  3. Enter Term.
  4. Enter additional Search Criteria to identify your class.
  5. Select Search.
  6. The Update Sections of a Class page displays.  Use it to review or modify a snapshot summary of section information for a class. The page displays one row for each section scheduled for a course offering during a term.
  7. Use the Class Status tab to review or modify a snapshot summary of section information for a class. The page displays one row for each section scheduled for a course offering during a term.
    1. Class Type: Update the class type to E (Enrollment) or N (Non-enrollment).
    2. Class Stat: Update the class status to A (Active), S (Stop further enrollment), T (Tentative) or X (Cancelled).
    3. Assoc: If no student has enrolled, the associated class number can be updated.
    4. Auto Enrl 1/2: Input sections for auto-enrolled sections.
    5. Resection: Enter an alternative section.  If the primary section is full, the system will automatically enroll the student in this alternative. 
    6. Add/Drop Consent: Update to D (Department Consent), I (Instructor Consent) or N (No Consent Required)
    7. Schd Print: Select to display this course on the schedule.
  8. Select the Class Enrollment Limits tab.
  1. The Class Enrollment Limits tab displays.
    1. Enrl Cap: Update the number of students allowed to enroll.
    2. Wait Cap: Update the number of students allowed on the Wait List.
    3. Min Enrl: Update the minimum enrollment number for the class.
  2. Select Save.
