9.2 Printing a Class Roster
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to Print a class roster in ctcLink.
Audience: Student Services staff.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZD CM Class Roster
- ZD CM Course and Class Inquiry
- ZZ CM Class Roster
- ZZ CM Local Configuration
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Printing Class Roster
Navigation: Menu > Curriculum Management > Class Roster > Print Class Roster
- The Print Class Roster run control ID search page displays. It defaults to Find an Existing Value. In this example, we'll create a new run control ID.
- Select Add a New Value.
- Enter Run Control ID.
- Select Add.
- The Print Class Roster page displays. Input the following:
- Academic Institution: Enter or Look Up
- Term: Enter or Look Up
- Session: This will default to 'Regular Academic Session' but can be changed if needed
- Sort Option: This will default to 'Name' but can be changed if needed
- Class Nbr.: Enter Class number
- Students in The Report: Select which students to include in the report
- Select Run.
- The Process Scheduler Request page displays.
- Verify the Class Roster process is selected.
- Select OK.
- The Process Scheduler Request page disappears. The updated Print Class Roster page displays. Note the Process Instance number.
- Select Process Monitor. Refer to the Process Monitor QRG for instructions.
- The Process List page displays.
- Select Refresh until the Run Status is 'Success' and the Distribution Status is 'Posted' for the Process Instance number you noted above in step 9.
- Select the Details link on the same line as the report name you ran.
- The Process Detail page displays.
- Select View Log/Trace link located at the bottom of the screen.
- The View Log/Trace page displays.
- Select the .PDF file to view the roster.
- The Class Roster Report displays in a new window. View it, print it, save it - as you wish.
- Close the new window.
Process complete.
You can print a canceled class roster on the Print Class Roster page.
- First, enter the Class Nbr in the "Select One of the Following" section. Next, in the "Students In The Report" section, select the "Dropped Students" checkbox.
- Then, follow the steps in this QRG, starting with #6.
- In addition, you can search for the canceled class on the Enrollment Request Search page. You will enter the Term, Enrollment Action Reason of "CANC," Class Nbr, and click "Search." The students dropped from the class cancellation process will be listed. Although there is no PDF version, you can download the table to Excel.
