Entering and Updating Electronic Address (SEVIS)
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for entering electronic address information in ctcLink.
Audience: College Staff responsible for maintaining student SEVIS information.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZC CC SOGI
- ZC CS SEVIS
- ZD CC SOGI
- ZD CS SEVIS
- ZZ CC SOGI
- ZZ CS SEVIS
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
You must also set these SACR Security permissions:
Add/Update a Person
Navigation: Campus Community > SEVIS > Personal Information > Add/Update a Person
- Navigate to Add/Update a Person.
- The Add/Update a Person – Find an Existing Value page displays.
- Enter search criteria to identify the student.
- Select Include History.
- Click Search..
Manage Email Addresses
- The Add/Update a Person page displays.
- Scroll to the Email section (bottom left).
Add an Email Address
- Click the Add button.
- Enter details:
- Email Type
- Email Address
- If applicable, select the Preferred checkbox. 📢Students may only have one email address per type and only one preferred email address across all types.
Update an Email Address
- Locate the existing Email Type to be updated.
- Overwrite the Email Address.
- If applicable, select the Preferred checkbox.
Delete an Email Address
- Locate the existing Email Type to be removed.
- Click the Delete a Row [-] icon to remove the email address.
Save the Record
- Select Save when all changes are complete.
- Process complete.
