Entering an External System ID - DOC

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to enter an external system ID into ctcLink

Audience: Campus Community staff.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • <there are no college-grantable roles>

You must also set these SACR Security permissions:

If you need assistance with the above security roles or SACR settings, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access

If a DOC student is term activated to a TRNST Student Program/Plan stack, the student's DOC ID must be entered on the External System ID page for reporting purposes.

Navigation: Campus Community > Personal Information > Identification > External System ID

  1. The External System ID search page displays.
  2. Enter Search Criteria to identify your student.
  3. Select Search.
  4. The External System ID page displays.
  5. Select "DOC ID" from the External System drop-down list.
  6. Enter the Effective Date.
  7. Enter the student's External System ID.
  8. Select Save.
