9.2 Entering Relationships

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for entering relationships in ctcLink.

Audience: College staff responsible for maintaining student information.

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZC CC Personal Information
  • ZD CC Personal Information
  • ZD CC Super user
  • ZZ CC Pers Info NID Update
  • ZZ CC Personal Information

You must also set these SACR Security permissions:

If you need assistance with the above security roles or SACR settings, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access

You can use the Relationships page to associate one individual with another individual inside or outside of your database.

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Campus Community > Personal Information > Biographical > Relationships > Relationships

  1. The Relationships search page displays.
  2. Select the Add a New Value tab.
  3. Enter ID.
  4. Select Add.

  2. Enter relationship data.
  3. Select Save.
  4. Select Relationship Address.

Note: If the related person already has an EmplID in ctcLink, enter the ID in the Related ID field and then the content will pull from his or her Campus Community record.

  • To enter information about the student’s legacy relation to the institution, select the Legacy button.
  • To specify which communications should be sent to this related person, select the Communications Recipients button.
  • To create or dissolve joint communications for these individuals, select the Joint Communication Management button.

  1. The Relationship Address tab displays.
  2. Review or edit the address and email data for the related person.
  3. Select Save.
  4. Select Relationship Detail.
