Viewing SEVIS Events History
Purpose: Refer to this document when viewing the SEVIS Events History for an International Student and/or their Dependent.
Audience: College staff responsible for maintaining SEVIS information.
You must have at least one of these local college-managed security roles:
- ZC CS SEVIS
- ZD CS SEVIS
- ZZ CS SEVIS
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
You will also need to set the following SACR Security permissions:
📢Important Notes
After colleges have processed their SEVIS Alerts and determined which to export to SEVIS and/or the SEVIS Master Component in PeopleSoft, or none, the SEVIS Events with no errors are listed in View SEVIS Events History page. The below steps must be completed first prior to viewing the Event on the View SEVIS Events History page.
Viewing SEVIS Events History
Navigation: Campus Community > SEVIS > View SEVIS Events History
Locate the Student
- The View SEVIS Events History search page displays.
- Enter Search Criteria to identify your student.
- Enter your institution’s SEVIS School Code (or use lookup).
- Select Search.
- The student’s SEVIS Events History displays.
Review History Summary
- Select the History Summary tab.
- This tab displays the 10 most recent events, including:
- Event Type
- Event Date
- Addl Data link (to open History Detail)
- Batch ID
- Send To field
- Associated DSO
- To view more than 10 events, select View All or use the Next button.

Review History Detail

History Detail F/M Tab (for F/M visa students and dependents):
- Displays data extracted for the most recent event.
- Use the arrows to view other events.

History Detail J Tab (for J visa students and dependents):
- Displays data extracted for the most recent event.
- Use the arrows to toggle through additional rows.
Review Process Detail
- Select the Process Detail tab.
- After your college runs the SEVIS Imports process, this tab shows the import results.
- By default, it displays the most recent event.
- Use the arrows to view other events.
- Process complete.
