Set Up Student Milestones

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to set up student milestones in ctcLink.

Audience: Advising and Student Records staff.

You must have at least one of these local college-managed security roles:

  • ZC SACR Milestone Config
  • ZD SACR Milestone Config
  • ZD SACR Student Rec Config
  • ZZ SACR Milestone Config

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Overview

➡️This process is used to create and maintain Student Milestones within the Milestone Table.

Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Records > Enrollment > Milestone Table

Add a New Milestone

  1. The Milestone Table search page displays.
    • The page defaults to Find an Existing Value.
  2. Select Add a New Value.
  3. Enter the following:
    • Academic Institution.
    • Milestone (10-character field).
  4. Select Add.

Enter Milestone Details

  1. The Milestone Table page displays.
  2. Enter information into the following fields:
    • Effective Date.
    • Status.
    • Description (30-character field).
    • Formal Description (50-character field).
    • Grading Scheme.
    • Grading Basis.
    • Self-Service Availability.
    • Allow Student Self-service.
    • Allow Student Attachment:
      • Select to allow students to upload documents.
    • Allow Advisor Self-Service:
    • Allow Advisor Attachment:
      • Select to allow advisors to upload documents.
      • ⚙️The query QCS_SR_STU_MILESTONE_DETAIL identifies Milestones that have uploaded documents.
  3. Continue entering Milestone Levels:
    • Milestone Level.
    • Description.
    • Formal Description.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Process complete.
