Create Student Appointment Blocks
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for creating student appointment blocks in ctcLink.
Audience: Student Records staff
You must have at least one of these local college-managed security roles:
- ZD SR Student Appoint Inquiry
- ZD SR Super User
- ZZ SR Enroll Term Processing
- ZZ SR Student Appointment
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Student Appointment Blocks
Navigation: Records and Enrollment > Term Processing > Appointments > Student Appointment Block
- Navigate to the Student Appointment Block page.
- Enter the appropriate Search Criteria to locate your Appointment Block.
- Select Search.
- π‘The Student Appointment Block should only be maintained when modifications or additions are necessary; there is no need for monthly updates otherwise.
Define Student Block Criteria
- The Student Appointment Block tab displays.
- Enter request parameters to define the student block:
- Academic Program β Students active in the specified academic program.
- Academic Level β Projected β Students with this projected academic level.
- Academic Level β Term Start β Students assigned this academic level at the start of the term.
- Academic Level β Term End β Students assigned this academic level at the end of the term.
- Student Group β Students assigned to this student group.
- Cumulative GPA From β Students with at least this specified cumulative GPA.
- Cumulative GPA To β Students with up to this specified cumulative GPA.
- Cumulative Units From β Students with at least this number of cumulative units.
- Cumulative Units To β Students with up to this number of cumulative units.
- Include In Progress Units β Select this checkbox to include in-progress units in the cumulative unit totals.
- Term β Specify the appropriate term.
- Select Get # Students in Block to return the number of students matching the specified parameters.

The Assign Appointments process uses the specified Priority Rankings when assigning enrollment appointments to students. Rankings can be adjusted later on the Assign Appointments page.
Set Processing Priorities
- Select the Processing Priorities tab.
- The Processing Priorities tab displays.
- Enter the Priority Ranking for this Student Appointment Block based on the previously defined parameters.
Add Additional Appointment Blocks
- To define an additional block:
- Select the Add a New Row [+] icon on the Student Appointment Block tab.
- Repeat the parameter and priority steps for the new student population.
- Select Save.
- Process complete.

Hi! Is there any way to NOT include new transfer students in enrollment appointment set up?

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for asking such a great question. Your college's business practices will determine whether this is the case. Enrolling students for one term will ensure they attend your institution before evaluating official transcripts. Upon posting the transfer credits, the student will be considered for an enrollment appointment.
