9.2 Transcript Text Print Location Examples

Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how transcript text displays on the transcript in ctcLink.

Audience: Student Records staff

You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:

  • ZZ SR Transcript Text

If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.

Transcript Text Print Location Examples

Navigation:  NavBar > Navigator > Records and Enrollment > Transcripts > Transcript Text

This QRG shows examples of how the transcript text appears on the official transcript.  There can be some differences in the display based on transcript type configuration by college and it is recommended that colleges test the print locations in the QA environment on their transcript prior to using a specific location.  

Before/After Academic Program

At this time the transcript templates for the colleges are not configured to display Academic Program.  Also note that if this is displayed it refers to the program level of "Academic" and "Professional Technical" and not the plan code level description.  Therefore at this time transcript text for before/after Academic Program does not display.

Before/After Academic Standing

In order for this print location to display Academic Standing must be configured to display on the specified transcript type and Academic Standing must have been run or manually coded for the student for the specific term.

In this print location the system will ask for a Term Value but a term value should not be entered or the Transcript text will not print.  Leave this value blank.

At this time the transcript templates for the colleges are not configured to display External Degrees.

In order for this print location to display on the transcript, the student must have an awarded degree at the college for which the transcript is being generated.

In order for this print location to display on the transcript, the student must have a milestone assigned to their record that is also configured to print on the transcript.  The transcript type must also be configured to display milestones.

Before/After Term Honors

In order for this print location to display on the transcript,  the student must have a term honor assigned to their record.  The transcript type must also be configured to display term honors.

In order for this print location to display the transcript text, a recipient must be identified when submitting the transcript request and the transcript must be configured to display transcript recipient.

In order for this print location to display on the transcript,  the transcript must be configured to print transcript reason.  The example below is shown from when the Transcript Reason is configured to display in the Transcript Header

Before/After Transfer Credit - Course

This print option requires you to input the transfer credit model number in which the transcript text is to be applied and the student must have posted transfer credit for that model number.  One issue with this option is that it prints the transcript text after each term in the model number if the transfer credit model has more than one transfer term.

This print location is term specific and the student must have a term withdrawal post for the term for this to display.  The transcript must also be configured to display withdrawal information.

Are all transfer credits in ctc link transcribed?

Thank you so much for your comment. In regards to your question, it would be a local business process decided by your institution. Your college may decide that you will transcribe all transfer credits.
