9.2 Configuring Courses to Use Dynamic Dating
Purpose: Use this document as a reference for how to configure Courses to use dynamic dating in ctcLink.
Audience: Student Services staff.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZC CM Course Catalog
- ZD CM Course Catalog
- ZD CM Course and Class Inquiry
- ZD CM Local Configuration
- ZD FWL View Cnt Calc
- ZZ CM Course Catalog
- ZZ CM Local Configuration
- ZZ FWL Contract Calc
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Adding Dynamic Dating at the Course Level
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Curriculum Management > Course Catalog > Course Catalog
- The Course Catalog search page displays. Use the default Find an Existing Value page to locate your course.
- Enter search criteria.
- Select Search.
- The Search Results display.
- Select applicable row.


- The Catalog Data page displays.
- Select Correct History (bottom-right of the page).
- Select Offerings.

- Look up or enter 'DYN' in the Dynamic Class Date Rule.
- Select Save.

Building a Class That is Dynamic Dated
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZC CM Class Builder
- ZD CM Class Builder
- ZZ CM Local Configuration

Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Schedule New Course
- The Schedule New Course search page displays.
- Enter search criteria.
- Select Search.

- The Basic Data page displays.
- When building the class, enter or look up 'DYN' in *Session.
- Adjust the *Start/End Date to the intended Dynamic Dates.
- Select Meetings.

- The Meetings page displays.
- Adjust the *Start/End Date to match the intended Dynamic Dates from the Basic Data page.
- Complete the class build.
- Select Save.

- Run the Dynamic Date in batch or by individual class.
- Process complete.
