9.2 Entering US Tax Distribution Information
Purpose: Use this document to enter US tax distribution information in ctcLink.
Audience: Payroll Specialists.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZC Payroll Data Maintenance
- ZZ Payroll Data Maintenance
- ZZ Payroll Processing
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Entering US Tax Distribution Information
Navigation: NavBar > Navigator > Payroll for North America > Employee Pay Data USA > Tax Information > Update Tax Distribution
- The Update Tax Distribution search page displays.
- Enter the desired information into the Empl Record field.
- Select the Search button.
- The Update Tax Distribution page displays.
- Select the Add a New Row button to enter a new tax distribution record.
- A new record row displays.
- Notice the Effective Date changes to the system date. You can change this date to the date when the changes go into effect.
You can distribute taxes across multiple locations for salaried employees and exempt only hourly employees. If you select the Use Total Wages for Multi-State Employee check box on the Federal Tax Data 2 page, the system uses 100 percent of the employee's wages to determine the tax rate.
- Enter the desired information into the Percent of Distribution field.
- Select the Add a New Row button.
- Enter the desired information into the State field.
- Enter the desired information into the Percent of Distribution field.
- Select the Save button.
- You have successfully entered tax distribution information.
- End of procedure.
