9.2 Creating PDF Check and Advice Forms
Purpose: Use this document to create PDF checks and advice forms in ctcLink.
Audience: Payroll staff.
You must have at least one of these local college managed security roles:
- ZZ Payroll Processing
If you need assistance with the above security roles, please contact your local college supervisor or IT Admin to request role access.
Creating PDF Check and Advice Forms
To access the navigation below to "Create PDF Advice Forms" the following security role is needed on the HCM User Profile: ZZ Payroll Processing
Navigation: NavBar > Navigation > Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing USA > Create Direct Deposits > Create PDF Advice Forms
- The Create PDF Advice Forms search page displays.
- Enter an existing Run Control ID or select the Add a New Value tab to create a new Run Control ID.
- Select the Add button.

- The Create PDF Advice Forms page displays.
- Enter the Pay Run ID.
- Select the Both radio button.
- Enter the number of days prior to pay day that you want the employees to be able to view the payroll information in employee self-service. Always use a negative to indicate days prior to pay day. If you receive the following warning message, select OK to close and go back to Create PDF Advice Forms page.

- Select the Run button.

- The Process Scheduler Request page displays.
- Select the OK button.
- The Create PDF Advice Forms page displays.
- Make note of the Process Instance number.
- Select the Process Monitor link.

- The Process Monitor page displays.
- On the Process List tab, select the Refresh button until the Run Status field is Success and the Distribution Status field is Posted.
- Select the Save button.
- The process to create PDF checks and advice forms has successfully run.
- End of procedure.
